The perfect way to introduce myself to anyone who comes across this blog and wonders, who the hell is this? First fun fact about me – I love reading these as I am super nosey!
It was meant to be 50 but I didn’t like some of the questions and decided to delete them. Here goes nothing!
Are you named after anyone?
Not that I know of! I was geared up to be called Imogen but apparently when I was born I didn’t look like one…
When was the last time you cried?
When I realised it was 15 years since my Nan died. Grief is a funny thing!
Do you have kids? If no, how many do you want?
I do not have any children – I can barely look after myself! I would love to have 3 children and think I want two older girls and a boy. Planning to do a Beyoncé and have the first one at 30. 6 years to go… YUCK
If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I’d like to think so even though if there were two of me and we tried to be friends, I’m not sure we’d see eye to eye. Let’s just say I like to take the lead so two of me going in different directions doesn’t sound like it’s going to end well!
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Ahhhh.. my second language! Yes, I bloody love it.
What’s the first thing you notice about people?
On a basic level, probably their shoes. You can tell a lot about a person by their shoes! But I also look out for how they treat others – it’s a good indication of their personality.
What is your eye color?
Scary movie or happy endings?
I like a happy ending and tend to listen to scary films rather than watch them because I’m too scared to keep my eyes open.
I absolutely adore the smell of vinegar on chips. There is nothing better!
What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
When I went to Dubai (post to follow!)
Where were you born?
One of the two places in the UK with a magic roundabout…. Swindon!
What’s your zodiac sign? Do you believe in it?
I’m a Pisces. I wouldn’t say I’m a massive believer but whenever I take a quick look at a horoscope I find myself going “oooo yeeeess, that’s me!”. It’s probably complete naivety and my brain convincing itself that the horoscope is magically relevant to my life but hey, a girl can dream.
What are your hobbies?
Eating and researching the next cool place I want to visit. I REALLY want to make a bullet journal but I always forget to keep it up.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up (ahem!) I’d like to be a solicitor. This is something I plan to blog about quite a bit for those other aspiring solicitors out there who are treading the very long path with me. I start training in September 2021 and I’m so excited!
Who was your first best friend?
My first best friend was at primary school and a girl called Lucy.
How tall are you?
5ft 6 inches.
What is the least favourite thing about yourself?
Currently, I hate my weight! I lost a lot of weight before I went to university and then started working full time in London after I graduated and put it all back on plus more. I love the cocktails but the cocktails don’t love me! It means I’ve lost a bit of confidence and don’t feel so comfortable my usual clothes but it’s not the end of the world.
Funniest moment throughout school?
The funniest moment that sticks out was not funny in the slightest and I reckon I’d be cringing like hell if 24 year old Kate was watching 15 year old Kate being a bloody nuisance. One geography lesson, my friends and I were a bit too excitable after lunch and were held back after class for a good telling off. I have an awful habit of getting the giggles and being unable to stop. It happens at the worst of times and especially when I know I’m meant to be quiet. My friend sat opposite set me off just as the teacher started to give us a good talking too and I just couldn’t stop. This obviously annoyed the teacher even more and made me giggle even more. It was tragic!
How many countries have you visited?
I’ve never counted – America, England, Wales, Scotland, Iceland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Dubai, Belgium, Turkey, Hungary, Denmark – so 16!
What was your favorite/worst subject in High School?
Worst subject was Biology – I found it super interesting but just couldn’t pass the exams for the life of me. My favourite subject was either Art or History.
What is your Favorite drink? Animal? Perfume?
Chocolate milk, Red Panda and Giorgio Armani Si
What would you (or have you) name your children?
I absolutely love the name Delilah for a girl and currently like the name Albert but that will probably change. I find it so hard to come up with any boys names! Not that I really need to be coming up with any names at the moment.
What Sports do you play/Have you played?
I used to play girls football a teeny tiny bit at school and apart from that I’ve spent my life being very inactive. I’m a pro when it comes to sitting on the sofa.
Who are some of your favorite YouTubers?
I like Eve Cornwell (another law human!), Helen Anderson, Sophdoeslife and Roxxsaurus.
How would you describe your fashion sense?
A bit boho if I’m thinking about it but normally very oversized and co-ordinated with jeans.
What phone do you have? (iOS v Android?)
iPhone as I physically couldn’t cope with anything else.
3 things that upset you?
People biting or picking their nails, loud eating and people with no manners.
3 things that make you happy?
Food, being on holiday and flowers.
How is your relationship with parents?
It’s pretty chilled. I’m self sufficient so don’t need them to take the parent role anymore. If we do see each other or chat, it’s more just for a catch up or a rant!
One word that describes you?
Curious – I want to know everything about anything! I’m forever asking “Why?”
What’s your favorite quotes?
“Je ne regrette rien” which is from a song sang my Edith Piaf that my Nan absolutely loved. It means I regret nothing and I think that’s the best way to live life. Don’t have any regrets, just keep going.
Do you consider yourself a good cook?
This can be said for everything I do – if I apply my mind to it then yes, I think I’m a good but I then have to battle my very short attention span… baking cakes is just not my thing! I have recently enjoyed following recipes for dinner and seeing what I end up with though.
If money were no object what would you get for your next birthday?
I really want to buy myself some kind of luxury handbag – either a Gucci Soho or Mulberry Millie bag. I’ve started to buy pricier bags now that I’m getting myself established in the world (ha, she says!) and I just feel so much more put together with a good sturdy high quality bag.
What’s your favourite thing to have for breakfast?
As someone who professes to absolutely love brunch, I’d have to say Eggs Benedict, but only when it’s done correctly. If not, and especially when I’m hungover, I love a good double sausage egg mcmuffin…
What’s your longest relationship so far?
5 and a half years which has completely flown by.
So that’s me! If you have managed to get to the end of this and have found this remotely interesting, then please give this blog a little follow if you want to find out more.
